hey guys, i'd like to write a small plugin to delay incomplete gpg-messages - thus allowing to receive multiple parts of gpg messages. now how do i start a plugin for fire 1.5.(6) ? how to compile? in an external project-file or in the project itself. inherit from plugin.m or just take and modify it? i'd love to have some guidelines and get to work. cheers till backhaus |

Truthfully, the best thing to do here is look at the code in the repository for the upcoming 2.0. In Core/Items/MessageItem.h there is some stub code for splitting large messages and recombining them. Under MIS_HANDLE_MESSAGE_FRAGMENTS, recombining should be done and under MIS_SPLIT_LONG_MESSAGE, large messages should be split. For reason I don't wish to go into here, this feature is not too likely to be implemented in the near future. If you wish to work on splitting and recombining messages, that is the best place for them to go. Also, in the repository, GPG has been moved to a plugin, so there is a good place to see how it is done. It is a separate project there, derived from PluginTemplate in the same location.
