Thanks for the contribution. We have support for themes coming in our next release, which should allow users to override the application icon. -Jason On Tuesday, July 15, 2003, at 01:35 PM, Everaldo wrote: > Hi > > My name is everaldo > > I am crystal/kde icons author > > I am making some icons for Fire > > wath you think? > > > Regards > > > Please replay c/copy to eve...@ev... > > <1.jpg><Fire.jpg> |

Do you have any documentation, maybe an email thread or a chat session log about how will the themes feature affect the rest of the prefs? I think this calls for a clean. -- Gabriel Radic On samedi, juil 19, 2003, at 20:11 Europe/Paris, Jason Townsend wrote: > Thanks for the contribution. We did talk about this in last week's Fireside Chat 1.0 take 2. Here's my session log for those that missed it: http://homepage.mac.com/townsend/firesidechat1.0take2.rtfd.sit Pref redesign in general was the primary topic of the chat. -Jason On Monday, July 21, 2003, at 02:27 AM, Gabriel Radic wrote: > Do you have any documentation, maybe an email thread or a chat session > log about how will the themes feature affect the rest of the prefs? > > I think this calls for a clean. > > -- Gabriel Radic > > > On samedi, juil 19, 2003, at 20:11 Europe/Paris, Jason Townsend wrote: >> Thanks for the contribution. Ok, I'm ready to start working on the IRC portion of Fire, I will get the source later tonight and take a look at it. I'll do up an email in a bit with some changes I had in mind. In other suggestions would be great. -Tim |

Yea, I'm going to do that tonight. I've been really busy the past month, but now that the fall is almost here, I'm getting a lot more time. I really do want to work on the IRC portion of Fire. It would be wonderful to ditch a dedicated IRC client, and be able to use fire for everything. First, is there anyone else working on the IRC portion? Second, did you want to include updates in the 1.0 release? Third when is the 1.0 release planned. -Tim On Tuesday, July 29, 2003, at 01:56 AM, Jason Townsend wrote: > On Thursday, July 24, 2003, at 09:47 PM, Tim Brown wrote: >> Ok, I'm ready to start working on the IRC portion of Fire, I will get >> the source later tonight and take a look at it. >> I'll do up an email in a bit with some changes I had in mind. Tim, I would love it if you were able to improve our IRC support. If you are serious about digging in, here are a few additional suggestions: 1) Talk to Graham Booker about the work he has done on creating a Service specific list of actions to appear in the menu systems. 2) Talk to me about any questions you have about the MessageItem class (which handles the display/sending of messages from the UI to the service transport) 3) Talk to any of us about the functionality of Service, CommunicationController, etc. 4) Talk to me about handling irc buddies, vs irc channels in the Buddy list UI. 5) Some of the added features we need: - Support for password protected channels - Support for multiple simultaneous connections - Better support of IRC actions - Support for irc Buddies as well as Channels (Group Chats) in the Buddy list - Easier access to a method to send more arbitrary irc commands - Support for user registration with the common types of UserServers. - Default list of common irc networks. 6) I would suggest taking a good look at our irc library and assessing whether there is a better open-source library available which accomplishes what we would like to have Fire do. You can continue using this mailing list to do the communication, but those are the people who have been working in those areas, and can be of assistance. We welcome your help! - Alan On Sunday, August 24, 2003, at 09:59 PM, Tim Brown wrote: > Yea, I'm going to do that tonight.
