So, now that we have another release completed, it's time to start
thinking about where to take Fire next. I've been thinking about some
goals I have for the next release, many of which come from reading the
fire-core@... emails from new users, and reading
feedback on versiontracker.
I'd like to get some feedback from the development community, and
possibly recruit some people to help with the effort. With this
release, I'd like to break with tradition, and go to version 1.0.
(Perhaps other releases will come between for bug fixes, but I'm
thinking of what I was previously referring to as 0.33.a.) In any case,
I want to define what we consider necessary to give Fire the 1.0
So, with that in mind, the next Fireside Chat will be 12-2 pm Pacific
Time, Saturday February 8. (That's 3-5 Eastern Time.)
Some general goals I have: improve ease of use, especially initial user
experience; address commonly requested features, or glaring bugs that
we have not tackled yet; and add kick butt features to blow the
competition away. :)
