As part of merging in Kim Foo-Jones' changes to update the buddy alias
for MSN users as their nickname changes on the server, I made some
changes to how we store chat logs.
The new scheme is intended to keep logs in the same location regardless
of changing aliases, differences in capitalization, or adding or
removing spaces from the name. We take the buddy name, remove spaces,
and use the lowercase version. This is also independent of your
preference for how to display the name in the buddy list. Group chats
are stored under a folder named Group Chats-Service (for example Group
Chats-AIM). IRC channels will still be logged under the channel name
I checked these changes in, but have not yet written the upgrade logic
to convert existing logs to the new folder names. For those living on
