With multiple logins, it would be nice to have multiple connectiosn online at any given time for any one service (2 AIM accounts online at one time, etc.

I know this is probably a fairly major architectural
change, but I'd like to see it move up the priority queue.

I logged on here to request the same feature. It would be great because
I have multiple Yahoo! accounts, and it tells you when you have new
    mail.

This would be the feature that would make my life the easiest. Please
up the priority on it. I want to be logged in with my personal IDs as well
as my business IDs. Right now, I have Fire open with my personal IDs,
and then MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, and AOL Instant
Messenger applications ALSO open for my business IDs.

I don't know how many people this will piss off...
I've taken to using Proteus and Fire side by side. I at least don't need
to have MSN, AIM, ICQ, and Yahoo open to get my other ID's
    connected.

Are there easy ways to do this, perhaps? I keep running into clients with their own Jabber servers, or own (insert server emulation here) boxes.

I like Fire, but until it supports multiple simultaneous connections to the same service, I'll have to continue using Proteus.

Yes that would be an awesome feature. that's why i use trillian pro on
my pc but now i'm not sure what to do until this feature is implemented
i'll stick with fire and, hope and pray that you guys will implement this in
your d release. good work guys!!!

Yes. If this was available, I would switch from Proteus to fire.

fire is a cool program but until it has this feature, windows versions of AIM
can still claim superiority over mac versions. many people have mulitple
screennames to deal with different groups of people. we NEED this feature!
please move it up the queue

I'm looking for this for irc especially, but also for Yahoo
and AIM. If Fire had this, then I would be able to do this a
    lot better.

i'm definately interested in this... i guess this isn't part
of the GAIM engine? even though the GAIM client supports it ??

i would *really* love if fire supported the buzz feature from
yahoo. also, if future versions could support a way to change
the the order of groups in the buddies window that would be
    appreciated.
    thank you.

Yes... Fire NEEDS this feature desperately! I have several Yahoo!
accounts and I need to be logged into them simultaneously!
    PLEASE! :)

Consider this in the case of public Jabber servers. If one
goes down, and my buddies have my second account on their
buddy list, they can still talk to me (and I them). I'd
consider this scenario one of reliability, rather than of
    nicety.

Well, I guess they could just manually connect to the other
one if the first one goes down. So it's not a serious
reliability issue. But this seems like a gating factor for
    many people.

It would be nice to get support for this for Jabber, as each Jabber
    server is a different service.

this is a common feature for many other multi-platform chat programs.
trillian does it really well, and it would be a good feature to have here. i
stumbled on fire after switching from winblows to mac os, and not
supporting multiple accounts online from the same service is a deffinate
negative for this program. and i think this is way more important than
    having seperate buddy lists..

I would definitely like to see this added... I like how you can do this on
Trillian, and it would be a very useful ability... *puts his name on the
    list*
