ZAnnot provides an Annotea server for the Zope application server. It doesn't actually need any compiling. The files need to get installed in the right place, then the Zope server restarted, and a ZAnnot object added somewhere in the server.

More detailed documentation would be helpful, and wil be forthcoming thanks to the SWAD-E project.

Comments about the packaging should go to the maintainer, comments about the ZAnnot server itself or the documentation should be sent to www-annotation@w3.org archived at http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-annotation

(I am not sure how good the package is. I needed to put in a dummy operation to stop it trying to configure and make during the compile phase so I used ls. I thought that type: bundle would do this but as I read the documentation that doesn't have an install step.)

second time I have used Safari to submit a package and it hasn't sent the file. Is it just me?

    % fink validate zannot-0.3-2.info
    Validating package file zannot-0.3-2.info...
Error: Length of package description exceeds 60 characters. (zannot-0.3-2.info)

    I changed it to:

Description: Annotea extension for Zope Server

and added to fink. Much better than the other package. :)
