I took the liberty to update the existing jack package to the current version 0.109.2, which was necessary to compile aeolus.
The patch has become much smaller.
File Added: jack.patch
I'm not sure, however, if the listed maintainer is still active. If not, how about taking over the package?
A version of this package is already present in the Fink distribution AND has a listed maintainer. You should contact the maintainer directly via the email address shown via "fink info <this package>" to discuss updating, as that person is in charge of submitting (or at least approving others' submissions of) updates.
If you don't hear from the maintainer within a reasonable timeframe, then send a message to that effect to firstname.lastname@example.org requesting that this tracker item be reopened.
I have contacted the original maintainer, and he is okay with the new version! He doesn't have commit access, though.
It looks like it doesn't actually look for portaudio anymore, according to the configure output and config.log (upstream change, I guess). It seems like you might as well drop that from the dependency list.
Update to 0.116.0 - portaudio removed
File Added: jack.info
I removed the portaudio dependency and used the opportunity to upgrade to the new 0.116.0 release!
Please remember to set the Group field to "Undergoing
Validation" when you create a new Tracker item and
any time you update your submission and are waiting
for feedback. Thanks.
I've taken the liberty of updating the .info file to use PatchFile rather than Patch, since we're trying to phase out the former in favor of the latter.
