using Unstable on 10.4.8: * dpkg-1.10.21-1220 * tar-1.16.1-1 * fink-0.26.0-31, packages rsync'd within the last 24 hours tail of gnumeric build log: dpkg-deb -b root-gnumeric-1.4.1-1012 /sw/fink/10.4/unstable/main/binary-darwin-powerpc/gnome dpkg-deb: building package `gnumeric' in `/sw/fink/10.4/unstable/main/binary-darwin-powerpc/gnome/gnumeric_1.4.1-1012_darwin-powerpc.deb'. tar: ./sw/bin/gnumeric-1.4.1: file changed as we read it tar: ./sw/bin/ssconvert: file changed as we read it /sw/bin/dpkg-deb: subprocess tar -cf returned error exit status 1 ### execution of dpkg-deb failed, exit code 2 The problem is that neither dpkg nor fink deletes the partially built deb, which causes problems later on: /sw/bin/dpkg-lockwait -i /sw/fink/dists/unstable/main/binary-darwin-powerpc/gnome/gnumeric_1.4.1-1012_darwin-powerpc.deb Selecting previously deselected package gnumeric. There was nothing out of the ordinary in /var/log/system.log, either - nothing should have touched the files while they were being tar'd up. I rm'd the .deb and ran 'fink scanpackages', and it looks like I'm clear to try again, but I figured I'd report this before it all runs off the end of the terminal scrollback. -- - Charles Lepple |
