I would like to suggest use 'cn' as the country code. My points are: 1) This would conform to ISO-3166 ( http://www.iso.ch/iso/en/prods-services/iso3166ma/02iso-3166-code- lists/list-en1.html ). 2) The Chinese country suffix used in URL is also 'cn', like: http://www.apple.com.cn. 3) Most companies use 'cn' identifies Chinese localization, like: http://www.ibm.com/cn/ 4) phpLang seems not using a two letter country code schema, but 'zh' for Simplified Chinese, 'zh-tw' for Traditional Chinese. Maybe it is politically more accurate than 'cn' and 'tw', but I guess most Chinese speaking people will think that 'zh' only refers to a general speaking Chinese language. That's why the Unix LANG environment variable expects 'zh_CN' for Simplified Chinese ,'zh_TW' for Traditional Chinese (Taiwn) and 'zh_HK' for Traditional Chinese (Hong Kong).
