Hi all, Is there a system-xfree86 package for OS 10.3? I have a new panther machine with Apple's X11, Xcode, and X11 SDK installed. I installed Fink 0.6.1, but cannot find a system-xfree86 package to tell fink to use my apple X11. When I try to install packages such as povray I get the following error: You have an existing X11 installation in /usr/X11R6 and /etc/X11. This package refuses to overwrite these. Remove them, then tell Fink to install xfree86-base again. (The package won't be recompiled.) If you want to keep your X11 installation, install system-xfree86 resp. system-xtools instead to make this known to Fink's package system. Any ideas for a newbie? Thanks Sean Ryder Post-doc, TSRI |
