The gcc developers are still hashing over how to introduce the
required patches for gmp 4.2.x since it no longer builds gmp against
mpfr and must gfortran must link mpfr in explicitly. The patch I sent
you a few weeks ago is still valid and can should be used for the gcc
4.1.1 package in fink 10.4 unstable. The topic is discussed in the
fortran gcc mailing list under the title "[PATCH] Require GMP 4.2 and
MPFR 2.2". Their current holdup is how to deal with all of the various
distros and if they should force them to upgrade to gmp 4.2.x or not.
...implies that because of bugs in mpfr in gmp 4.1.x, the upstream
developers recommend upgrading to the latest gmp/mpfr releases.
Let me know if you have lost the patch I sent you and I'll send
you another copy.
ps I mention this because gcc 4.1.1 should be released within the
next day or so.
