Talking in the IRC channel, we've come across an annoying tcsh bug:
Way to reproduce in tcsh:
set printexitvalue;echo X"`echo foo | grep bar`"X
Which means that if the useful printexitvalue is set the init.csh Fink
script fails due to lines such as:
set PROXYFTP=`grep ProxyFTP
/Volumes/YOU/APPS/Developer/Fink/etc/fink.conf | grep -v "#" | cut -d "
getting the wrong value.
So to make the script more robust, some sort of check against
printexitvalue could be added to the script. Let me know if you want a
patch or something like that.
In any case, I'll disable the printexitvalue feature myself seeing how
dangerous it is.
