No

I am trying to change files in a data folder that has a set of inheritable permissions.
My user folder (c:\users\me) has much different inheritable file permissions.

When I run find/replace on a file in the data folder, the new version does not have the permissions of the original, but instead has a snapshot of my user folder permissions.

It should be noted that the backup copy of the file retains the proper permissions.

Thank you

Oh, good point. Thank you very much for reporting this issue. I will make it a priority for the next release (planned spring 2014).

    Great to hear. Thanks.

Very useful utility by the way.

I've just found exactly the same issue. Great tool, but cannot use it to replace text in multiple web pages because of the changed ACL permissions.
    Great tool apart from this.

Hi Dave, I am a little late with this years release, so thanks for pushing me a bit. It'll take another tiny while though.
    Regards,
    Olivier

All file attributes should now be retained (v1.8).
