Both FS1.0 and this app keep track of files by using a hash of the first
100K of a file. This hash is only used when trying to match up moved or
renamed files. Any changes to a file will cause a change to the hash
value.

Put simply this means that if you do operations on a file (inside or
outside the box editor) then these links can be broken. In this version
the links are 'fixed up' after every operation, but this was not true in
previous versions. The new 'hash fix' Job ensures that the FSDB files
contain the correct hashes for the current file version.

My recomendation is that you run hash fix on all your files once, and
then again if you've changed the files externally (by running mp3gain or
editing a wav for example).

Hash fixing is only needed if you plan on moving or renaming files,
otherwise its not an issue.
