vb.net missing createFilter()

i am probably missing something real simple but i cant find the answer anywhere.

• VS2017 VB.net project
• copied FiltersDllDotNet.dll to my project
• registered resouce FiltersDllDotNet.dll
• Imports Filters = FiltersDllDotNet.Filters

while "Filters.initialize()" is available, "Filters.getParametersCount(filter)" errors: getParametersCount is not a member

i downloaded "filtersTest-3.3-2009_12" but can't realy find any answer there either.

what am i missing?
