I think it would be motivating to have a global score,
to track one's progress, especially in the number of
steps. There could be the following display:

Levels: N/70 solved
Steps: X/Y (+/- zz.zzz%)

With:
N: the number of levels solved by the player
X: total number of steps for those levels
Y: total number of steps for the best known solution
*for those levels*

zz.zzz = 100*(X-Y)/Y

(I think three decimals would guarantee the number
would change even if you improve by only one step)

Thanks for considering this feature, and thanks for the
great port!

PS: please acknowledge the request, because there are
no others, so I would like to know if you read it or if
I need to submit it some other way.

    Hi,

    Sorry I haven't monitored this tracker.
    Now I have added quick solution to the CVS.
    The score is printed to the standard output
    when you type in fillets:
    `score()<enter><escape>
    The '`' is to invoke debug console (like in Quake).

    - Recompile fillets-ng sources from CVS.
    - Get the newest fillets_data/script/init.lua from CVS:
    http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/fillets/fillets_data/script/init.lua?rev=1.18&view=auto
    (It takes some time than the anonymous CVS will be synchonized.)
