FileSlicer is a little tool that allows slicing any file into several pieces and join them again later. It's available for Windows and Linux, but the Linux version is still experimental (because it uses the Qt-Multithreading library).
Yesterday a friend complained about a movie file on his hd that he didn't want to delete but that was too big to fit on one CD-R. Here's a little tool to help him out. It allows slicing files into several parts and join the parts to the original file. This first release is only in GERMAN, but an international version will come later.
