FCB was tested on Ubuntu 12.04 and it worked out of the box (all required packages come already installed).

Other distributions

I couldn't yet check other distributions and detail a step by step instruction recipe.
Please, give it a try in your distro and leave a comment in the Discussion forums about how did it go.
