Not working in Windows (yet)

I give it a try and checked if (as is) the code worked in windows. Sadly, I had no luck (not much of a surprise, since I didn't think much in making the code portable to Windows).

Nonetheless, I have been asked to fix the project so it can be used in that OS, so I will (try to) spend some time fixing the non-portable parts.
