As to the Enter/Return key, I will set that up and see how it plays for me. You can, of course, set up the configure "bind" to do this.
As to the double click, well, I prefer to pass the file(s) to my editor on the double click, but again you can configure this.
On the Open, Run,... I assume you are talking about where they appear in the middle button list. You can easily re-arrange this with the configure file. Open is rather new and I find it VERY useful in MSW. But even there I have not bothered to move it up in my configuration.

Why don't you set "Open" as default action for:
- pressing Enter/Return key
- double clicking?
Btw, the Open, Run, Select etc. are most often called actions, why do you put them so deep below?
