Filepedia / News: Recent posts

As promised, I finally got an alpha version of Filepedia up online to show what it can do. Please let me know if you get it to work on your own system!! I'd love to know what percentage of files backed up you get. :-) This initial release uses hash lists from my WinME and WinXP installation CDs.

I plan to add recursion shortly, clean up the script's source code, and then start asking people for help with specific improvements.

I've found that PHP and MySQL will make this project much easier for me to start with, based on my own programming background. The initial program/script will require that MySQL and PHP be installed on your system.

This is my first sourceforge project, so I'm getting used to the system. The first couple files will be up shortly. I have the backup verfication part of this program functional already, but I need to clean it up for public release.
