Generalized file name

FileOrganizer derives a generalized name for a file by removing extension and a set of string tokens. This is helpful to compare the contents of two lists.

Add all Files in a directory to a list

Add Files button or menu item can be used to add more file to the existing list.

Save file list as XML file

Save File or Save File As button or menu item can be used to export the file list as an XML file.

Open XML file list

FileOrganizer allows to open a file list which is saved.

Compare two file lists

In view menu, select comparison mode. It will allow you to work with two file lists.

View difference between two file lists.

In view menu, select view differences. It will remove the files with same generalized file name present in both lists. This makes it easier to copy only the files which is not present in one of the lists.

Select and copy files to a directory.

Selected files can be copied by clicking the menu item tools->Copy selected files. The destination directory can be browsed and on selecting the destination, copying starts.
