It will be great to be able to match file thanks to a MD5 sum to keep files matching.

ex:
Files_-_36_[120806].dat -> Datalog_36.dat
Files_38_[120907].dat ->...
File_-_37_[121107].dat ->...
....
_Files_14_[130807].dat -> Datalog_14.dat

it is impossible to rename easily this kind of file as we have to replace all the filename + add counter

I know this is the worst example for batch file renaming, but checksum matching may be easy to do (or i have missed something ;) )

    I'm not sure I understand your problem. You can use regular expressions to match any part of the filename.
