This would be very interesting, but I am currently very occupied on other priorities. In the past, several people which were initially studying the possibility of adding the Gerber export to FidoCadJ ultimately gave up. If someone is still interested to join the FidoCadJ development team, I think that this is feasible, even if not very easy.

Is it actually worth the effort ? (I can accomplish it in 3-4 working days)
I mean AFAIK, RS-274X files are bi-level single layer and ultimately requiring manual revision, drill racks and more even when created by dedicated software (not to mention that raster-photoplotters doesn't need them);
At the moment you can export to Eagle and get gerber done by Eagle.
