The gzipped-tar file source distribution for 4.0.31
dumps its files into the current directory instead of
into an appropriately-named subdirectory of the current
directory. This is generally considered bad form under
Unix at least warrants notice in the documentation so
that people will create the subdirectory prior to
expanding the distribution.
