Hi,
I am trying to modify the coastline around my local
airport. I;
1) open the corresponding .stg file
(D:\FGSD\scenery\e170s50\e174s42\5803051.stg)
2) draw a curve representing the new coastline.
3) set the type (3-D)
4) embed the curve
5) edit the texture so ocean is one the seaward side
and default is on the shore side.
6) save the project
7) export the file (to the original location)
8) reopen the file
the problem:
some of the triangles have had the texture (seemingly)
randomly changed.
I have screen shots of of each step to assist if required.
I am running
FGSD 0.3.1
Win 98SE
P1, 166Mhz

hi Fred.
I think i've got a handle on this problem. It's part of the
"open saved project" function. When I export a modified file
and copy it across the network to my FG PC it runs fine,
when I export the file, save the project then reopen the
project it's corrupted. When I export the file save the
project then copy it across the network and run it, it's
fine (as above) then: tools-import-file: its OK.
It's the "Open-Save Project" function that doesn't detect
that the project is in fact a "Imported File" and doesn't
apply the appropriate "import alogrithim".
Solution: Save as part of the project that it is a Native
format or an Imported File format and needs an import
alogrithim.
