won't install on TiBook 667

Attempting to install FFScroll on my Titanium PowerBook G4 667
MHz, I get the message "FFScroll cannot be installed on this
computer." I can't tell if my trackpad uses the ADB or USB driver,
but based on various comments, it sounds like a pre-2005
PowerBook should be compatible. So, then, any idea why it refuses
to install?
I'm using Mac OS 10.3.8, and I've never installed any other 3rd party
trackpad driver. I do have USB Overdrive installed, but that does not
list the trackpad as a handled device.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Firstly thanks for providing all that information. :-)
What does this script
http://ffs.sourceforge.net/check_supported.command.zip
say when you double click it?
There was a bug in the initial FFScroll 0.5 release that made the error
messages on the installer not work. It has now been fixed, but to save
you downloading it I've put that script up (which is exactly the same
check the installer uses).
What I believe will be the error is "W-Enhanced trackpad not found" and
if that's the case then we'll need to do a little playing round to make sure
that we can get away without it beng a requirement. Because it isn't
really for running the pad in absolute mode.
If it's not the error then I will be confused. :-)

Pete, it's as you suspected...
"Checking if trackpad supports W-Enhanced mode...
ERROR: Trackpad does not seem to support W-Enhanced mode."
It is my pleasure to not confuse you.

Okay thanks for that. We'll have a look into making the
W-Enhanced mode not being a requirement. I don't have
any hardware to test it on myself though, but if you wouldn't
mind running an untested build I could knock one together
that did not have the W-Enhanced mode required.

Okay well I've removed the installation checks for W-Enhanced
mode and I think I've made sure the driver should also be fine
with that.
If it works then I can remove this check from future releases.
(It's identical to 0.5 other than this by the way)
