it would be nice if the padding function couldn't just
add a border around the video but also add colored
areas within the video.

i think something like that would be useful for
covering the annoying glitches which happen at the
bottom lines of vhs videos.

cropping changes the size of the video which can be
problematic with interlaced material so i would just
prefer to cover the glitches with a black area.

maybe simply make negative padding number possible? like
"-padtop -12"? haven't tried if this is already possible. is
it? :)
