I installed the FFDSHOW product and can now successfully watch AVI movies in Microsoft Media player.
But when I close the media player down I still see reminents of FFA in my tray.
I see two icons in my tray that I can not get rid of. FFa and FFv.
I can not fiugre out how to remove them or kill what ever process is causing there persistance.
I have to reboot the PC to get them out of the tray.
This is not the behavior I am looking for.
All I wanted was codec for Windows media to play AVI files. I do not need any other capability.

Bill
