ffdshow tryouts is a DirectShow and Video for Windows codec with support for a wide range of audio and video formats, such as Xvid, DivX, and H.264.

New developers with fresh ideas are always welcome, if you got an idea of what is still missing in ffdshow and you're you want to try to write it yourself you're always welcome to join the ffdshow-tryouts development. You'll be able to commit changes and make them available for testing for many people that way.

For a long time milan_cutka is often missing but others still provide patches and enhancement to ffdshow in this time. To give all those a better platform for trying out their changes this project was made. Everyone is welcome to participate and add experimental changes which they want to try before proposing them to milan_cutka for the main tree of ffdshow.
