#299: FFADO does not read the correct VendorId under the Juju Stack ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- Reporter: euan | Owner: Type: bug | Status: new Priority: major | Milestone: Component: generic/dbus | Version: FFADO 2.0.1 Resolution: | Keywords: Juju VendorId Device_name: Audiofire | ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- Comment (by stefanr): Strange failure. I have no idea yet where it comes from. But before this is investigated further, please note: You have libraw1394 v2.0.4 installed. This is not going to work for FFADO with firewire-core underneath. You need libraw1394 v2.0.5 for that. (The changes from v2.0.4 to v2.0.5 affect isochronous transmission only, which is needed for the outgoing audio stream. They are unrelated to asynchronous I/O as used for the reading of the device IDs, among else.) Also keep in mind that kernel 2.6.32 was the very first one that was able to support FFADO on top of firewire-core and firewire-ohci. Some fixes to these drivers that are also relevant to FFADO have been released in the subsequent kernel versions. I have doubts whether it is worth to proceed looking into this issue on kernel 2.6.32. Your log mentions a 2.6.35 initrd; can you boot that kernel instead? -- Ticket URL: <http://subversion.ffado.org/ticket/299#comment:1> FFADO <http://subversion.ffado.org/index.fcgi> Free Firewire Audio Drivers |
