Referring to http://www.ffado.org/?q=node/1268 (see the tail of this
mail), I'm writing to "jwoithe" since I would be glad to use my MOTU
UltraLite Mk3 Hybrid with Ubuntu 9.10, and to help the FFADO project.
Practically, some FFADO developers could provide test programs to
compile and run on my computer and I would give results back.
However, my sound card is used through USB2 instead of Firewire since
I don't have such port on my laptop. Maybe should I find another
project dealing with USB2 audio drivers?

The "mark 3" MOTU devices released during 2008/9 come with substantial
changes to the device control protocol. A picture of this is being
built up as owners volunteer information but it's not possible to
guess as to when FFADO will function with these devices. The process
will be greatly accelerated if someone were to donate (or even loan) a
"Mark 3" device to the FFADO project to allow me to analyse the
protocol efficiently (please contact jwoithe via the ffado-devel
mailing list if you're interested in doing this - I'm in Australia if
I was reading on the ffado.org that a motu "mark3" device is needed by
Jwoithe in Australia.
I'm in Sydney with an 828mk3 unit here that I can loan if that is of any
