So, the svn server was a bit warm this weekend.
First, I didn't have so mush time for my linux audio box last few months and
I just made things clearer. The good news is that the 828mkII start to be
pretty stable now. My small P4 can handle a small project easily without
worrying about how many plugs I can use. Only the memory is getting short
Only two things:
SVN r1449: the motu code didn't like the port bug fix from Pieter. There's
white noise on some routed ports and strange low frequency noise on unrouted
ones. There's no sound at all with jackmp.
SVN r1451: Jack doesn't start any more. The port cash probably has to be
implemented in the motu code.
It makes the rc1 completely unusable with motu interfaces. I had a look at
the code and it's completely over my skills.
Anyway, ffado (r1448 at last) is in very good shape, better than it always
I will call back Christophe (the French MOTU distributor). We had a very
good contact and we were just waiting for better days to contact the MOTU
R&D. They were too busy with DP6 and the new video interface.
Jonathan, I saw you started to work on the 828mkIII, have you got one? Have
you got some news about MOTU support before I call Christophe?
