It may be a useful enhancement to have this option also available
when inputting records. That is, a generic "controlled voc subject"
field in the input form; and when the user clicks the "add subject"
button, he can choose which controlled vocabulary to use. If this
could be done, it may save administrators from having to create
multiple document types if they want to set up different controlled
vocabularies for different user groups.
It is actually possible to do this now by cheating a bit ... in an
input screen, click the "add subject" button; then when the subject
screen appears click the "all subject classifications" hyperlink at
the top left. This enables you to choose a different controlled
vocabulary. Of course, the problem with this approach is that any
subjects chosen get classified against the default vocabulary rather
than the newly-chosen one.
