I'm working on the code that does the ordering of the lists in fez.
There is a bug where records that don't have the field we are ordering
by are not listed. I have fixed this using a union and a 'not exists'
sub-query which has actually added two sub-queries and will probably
slow things down.
Can someone help me out and suggest a better query? Maybe there's
some other way to handle the search keys so that we can do this
better? i.e. being able to select a metadata element (which are
themselves configurable) and then search and order by it.
We need to rethink this in terms of internationalisation as well
because at least one user is having to dredge through the code where
we've hard coded the default search keys - or maybe that's a separate
I'm probably going to release Fez 1.3 with the sub-queries if we can't
come up with anything better in the short term.
