We were doing a trial-run of our upgrade from Fedora 2.1 to Fedora 2.2
with Fez (which worked), and as we were trying out the datastream
checksums that can be enabled in Fedora 2.2 we discovered that the
checksum for a file loaded with Fez didn't match the checksum for the
original file. On further investiagion, we discovered that Fez is
adding a newline to the files it uploads to Fedora.
This seems like a pretty serious bug to us. We've been fortunate so
far that the file formats we're using so far are resilient enough not
to be corrupted by this; with other file types it could be much more
