Another instance of this issue -

Disabled fields also appear to be automatically re-enabled during batch uploads for a particular document type. Affected records display the field in browse mode, but the fields don't display in input/edit screens. When then checking the fields in Match Editor, the fields show in bold with "enabled" and "show in view" checked.

I think these two problems are related -

* If I make a change to an element in HTML Match Editor,  the original settings get re-initialised, e.g. Show in View may have been originally unchecked, but gets checked by stealth as soon as I enter the element in Match Editor. This only seems to happen with some settings (e.g. Title and Label Descriptions remain as previously configured).

* I habitually export XSDs from our dev server each day, then delete any XSDs from my local PC and reimport the dev XSDs afresh. Each time I do this, any disabled elements get automatically re-enabled on my local PC - no red "disabled" text appears when hovering over the element in the left window of Match Editor, and when I check the settings in Match Editor, I see the  fields are "enabled" once more (this bit is the same issue as above). The strange thing is that even though the elements are supposedly enabled and have Show in View checked, they don't actually display in the record input/edit screens.

I've also started getting "Error when calling modifyDatastreamByValue" messages after editing and publishing records which have XSDs that appear to be affected by the above problem. Disabling the troublesome elements once more gets rid of this error.
