    Hi all!

I have a situation that I dont know what is happening:
I have a doc called "InstalaçãoFinalFedora_Fez.txt" that after the upload, the file name changes for
"InstalaßßoFinalFedora_Fez.txt". And if I try to do access it I get an error "Fedora error
An error has occurred in the Fedora Access Subsystem.".
This is an encoding issue since I change the name for "InstalacaoFinalFedora_Fez.txt" and it works fine.
How can I fix this to acept the special Portuguese characters like (ç, ã, ó, ì, etc...)?

    Thanks
    António

      Hi Antonio

This is due to Fez saving the filename as the Fedora datastream name. I don't think Fedora likes utf8/diacritics in datastream names. Fedora needs datastream names to be a 'NC Name' which means it has to be very simple, can't start with numbers, probably can't have diacritic characters.

I'll have a look at a workaround for this as a patch or for 1.3.

      Cheers,
      Christiaan
