    Hi!

I noticed (unless I missed something) that FEZ does not have created Document Type XSDs for Vídeo or audio.
Is any special reason for that?
Does anyone as already created one that could share?

    Thanks
    António

      Hi Antonio

We are readying Fez 1.3 using MODS but haven't currently setup a default video of audio document type. You could just the 1.2 'Image' document type for now.

What extra video or audio metadata do you think is necessary for these document types?

There are example motion picture and sound recording MODS objects on the library of congress site here:

      http://www.loc.gov/standards/mods/v3/mods85753651.xml
      http://www.loc.gov/standards/mods/v3/mods94759273.xml

We will probably base the 1.3 MODS audio/video document types on these examples.

      Cheers,
      Christiaan

      Hi Christiaan

I think is very importante to setup a default video and audio document type...after all they are documents types importants...

      Video or audio metadata necessary:
-indicator of the type of video/audio object i.e Analog, PhysDigital, or FileDigital.
-Frame rate for video- 24 frames/second (film), 25 frames (PAL systems), 30 frames for NTSC, other (multimedia).
      -timecode (for video)
      -aspect_ratio (16:9;4:3)
      -compressionType

Just a few. Take a look at these ones:

      http://memory.loc.gov/mets/Schemas/AMD.xsd
      http://memory.loc.gov/mets/Schemas/VMD.xsd

      I found these more interesting...

        Hi Antonio

Those XSDs look very good. When I get some time I'll experiment with them in Fez.

        Thanks,
        Christiaan
