   Dear John,

   Thanks for the suggestion. I have three accounts, and could download 
from only one. The other two kept giving the error:

and would then retry three times before giving up and printing out the 
page it was unable to parse. Loading the HTML in a browser shows a Yahoo 
page asking for "password prompting" - apparently after a period of 
activity, set to two weeks for my account, the password must be reentered 
despite being already logged in. Strangely, I don't get this page even 
using lynx from the same host. I tried deleting all Yahoo cookies in my 
browser and logging into the account but it didn't make any difference. 
Finally I tried switching back to the new interface from the classic one, 
which I have done a few times, but then FetchYahoo was able to log in and 
download messages. I really appreciate the suggestion about downloading 
only new messages - that will make my system usable again.
