Your reminder of the need to upgrade is certainly appreciated.

My inability to upgrade in a timely manner has to do with issues too numerous
to go into and should in no way be taken as a sign of intentional 
"disrespect" toward you, others or the work you put into fetchmail.

Sorry that it upsets you in any way.
