Nothing that I'm aware of...

I'm not sure. I just looked in the webmail backend, because I was suspicious, 
and saw some unfetched messages. Then I restarted fetchmail and the messages 
got fetched. This occured again afterwards. I don't know the exact moment when 
the problem occured first.

The server isn't under my control. It's the mailserver of my web hoster. It 
might be the server's fault...

I'd rather abstain from IMAP IDLE for now...

Yes, I know. I've already given up. Guess it could be really hard to debug 
this.
