The FAQ asks for the output of "LC_ALL=C fetchmail --nodetach -vvv --nosyslog 
...". But this won't trigger the problem right away, which occurs only when in 
IDLE mode. I haven't seen any output of the problem occuring, so far.

I could try to watch for debug output when in idle mode, when the problem 
occurs, but this is tricky, and a bit involved. 

I'm afraid that I can't be very helpful for debugging this, since I can't 
reproduce the problem. It just occurs sometimes. I thought this might be a 
known problem, so I asked if someone knows what's going on.

I'll just abstain from using IMAP IDLE for now.
