Hi Peter,

no need to include generated files - for the same reason, they aren't
registered in Git. The automake/autoconf rig stuffs them into the
tarballs when I "make dist", so that's all fine.

I'll look at the actual contribution in the next few days, thanks for
taking the time of writing and submitting the patch.
