Most of the odd things have been fixed by now, so it just runs, every 3 minutes here. 99% of the problems can be fixed by a phone call to your ISP to see what they need to allow you "pop3" access, and the proper use of an MTA, Mail Transfer Agent, something like procmail to take the fetchmail output and put it in the systems /var/spool/mail/username file which nearly all other reader programs will pull and will and sort that mail to their own directory tree.
