I can verify the problem, but I cannot currently narrow it down
unfortunately - I can cut some lines from the file, but the remaining
file is still way too large that I would want to observe the parser in
debug mode.

Do you have a shorter file to exhibit the same problem?

I can try to do some more experiments next week, but I'm not overly
optimistic I'll be able to track and fix this.

It may be some arcane buffer boundary issue, and it may also be that
we're inheriting a bison bug here.
