[fetchmail-users] daemon not cycling as intended

fetchmail, (1.43) in daemon mode, is awakening every 10 minutes, not every two, as intended.

/root/.fetchmailrc contains the statement (among others that appear to be functioning): 

set daemon 120

which, I thought, is 120 seconds, or, two minutes.  According to my watch.

So, it is not reading this correctly, or did I use the wrong syntax or something?

I confess to having used fetchmailconf to configure things.  If that matters.
