I've documented a number of cases where email sent to, and accepted by, Hotmail has never arrived. I've no way of knowing how many other emails never made it. Yes, their POP/SMTP interface may not be the best (though I've never used either so can't speak from experience). However as a webmail service I've not had any problems. If they're breaking the RFCs then by all means report the problems to them (and document them in a blog/create threads on digg or slashdot/whatever). However even in the case that spawned this thread, I'm not sure they're technically breaking the RFCs, just POLA :) -- Please keep list traffic on the list.
