Which strongly suggests it's not a fetchmail problem.

However, as I said try removing the fetch limit in your .fetchmailrc.
If that still doesn't work then provide both your .fetchmailrc and the
entire output of a "fetchmail --nosyslog --nodetach -vvv" (as detailed
in the FAQ under reporting bugs).
