Rob, Thank you for your reply (and your previous offer of help).

I've been re-reading the manual again. If the ISP receives and passes on 
the 'envelope' correctly, can it be assumed that they will consistently 
handle mail in this way? Assuming that they are using the same software?

In other words, are the rogue envelopes created by my ISP's server, or 
are they delivered to his server in that condition?
